Did I like that Dean killed Amy in cold blood? No, not really.
But I do sort of see his reasoning. It’s cold and calculating and extremely unsympathetic, but I get it.
So what I don’t get is, if he’s going to use that reasoning to kill a woman who has actually made the decision to not kill if at all possible, set up a way of life to make that possible, then he most definitely should have killed the kid. The kid is most definitely going to kill far, far more people than his mom would have, or would have raised him to. Now he’s pissed and has no one to take care of him, no comfy set up so that he doesn’t have to kill. I don’t get it. Dean just killed a docile, tamed lion in captivity and set it’s wild, rabid cub lose.
Now he’s not just cold, but stupid. He made that situation far, far worse.
